Zhitong Finance learned that at 11 a.m. local time on September 15, Meituan's international takeaway brand Keeta officially launched operations in Kuwait, becoming its third location in the Middle East Gulf region after Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

▲ In Kuwait, Keeta has supported takeaway services for several brands including McDonald's, Pizza Hut, Burger King, and Starbucks.
As an important member of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Kuwait has a high per capita GDP, a high penetration rate of online food delivery, and strong consumer demand for quality takeaway services. The market is vibrant and has great potential, which is a key reason for Keeta's choice to expand here.
In addition to leveraging Meituan's leading operational experience accumulated in the Chinese takeaway market, Keeta plans to continuously expand quality supply and innovate products locally, providing consumers with convenient and reliable delivery services, a rich and diverse selection of goods, and affordable prices. It is also committed to promoting the joint development of partners such as merchants and delivery riders, driving the digital transformation of the local catering industry and the maturity of the ecosystem.
Since entering the Middle East in September 2024 with Saudi Arabia, Keeta's user numbers and order volume have rapidly increased. Based on the successful establishment and progress in Saudi Arabia over the past year, Keeta has further accelerated its expansion pace in the Middle East market. In August of this year, Keeta launched in Qatar, and less than a month later, it officially entered Kuwait, as Meituan accelerates the construction of an "international development model with multi-country linkage."
In the future, Keeta will continue to deepen its efforts in the Middle East and actively explore more new overseas markets
