
YouTube claims to pay creators over $100 billion in four years
YouTube, a subsidiary of Alphabet (GOOG.US), announced on Tuesday that it has paid over $100 billion to creators, artists, and media companies since 2021, primarily benefiting from the growth in connected TV viewership.
The company stated that the number of YouTube channels earning over $100,000 through TV screens has increased by 45% year-on-year.
Additionally, the company announced the launch of new artificial intelligence tools for its short video product YouTube Shorts, allowing creators to use AI to transform raw footage into edited video clips and add music, transitions, and voiceovers
