RETAIL INVESTORS REMAIN BULLISH ON AI STOCKS

AI stock posterchild Nvidia (NVDA.O) has surged more than 1200% since 2022. Similar AI-related stocks could still rally, according to retail investors surveyed by broker eToro.

More than half of retail investors, surveyed by eToro, remain bullish about the AI sector, with 55% expecting the price of AI-related stocks to increase this year.

The broker surveyed 11,000 retail investors across 13 countries, finding that they are also increasingly adopting AI tools to build their portfolios. Some 19% now use AI tools to pick or alter investments in their portfolios, up from 13% a year ago.

“Two and a half years after ChatGPT appeared, AI has taken centre stage across many areas of life, including investing,” eToro’s Global Market Strategist Lale Akoner says.

“Retail investors see AI not just as a tool but as one of the most powerful growth stories in the market… confidence remains high that the sector will continue to deliver strong performance.”
