NOVAUTEK's subsidiary NOVAUTEK Intelligent Driving has signed a memorandum of understanding with HKT to jointly expand the robotics market in Hong Kong, particularly in the fields of education, humanoid robots, and retail. Both parties will explore cooperation opportunities, leveraging NOVAUTEK Intelligent Driving's robotics technology and HKT's 5G communication advantages to develop mobile-connected robotic solutions to support the construction of a smart city in Hong Kong. This cooperation has not yet signed a legally binding agreement and requires further negotiation
According to the Zhitong Finance APP, NOVAUTEK (00519) announced that on September 22, 2025, its subsidiary NOVAUTEK Intelligent Driving Limited (NOVAUTEK Intelligent Driving) signed a memorandum of understanding with Hutchison Telecommunications Limited (Hutchison Telecommunications). The two parties will discuss and explore cooperation opportunities in the Hong Kong region regarding mobile-connected robotic products and solutions in the fields of education, humanoid robots, and retail, jointly developing emerging markets such as smart education, retail, and humanoid robots.
If this cooperation is realized, it will fully leverage NOVAUTEK Intelligent Driving's advantages in robotic technology and Hutchison Telecommunications' 5G communications, further expanding the application of 5G technology in the robotics field and providing customers with smarter and more efficient solutions. By integrating NOVAUTEK Intelligent Driving's advanced intelligent robotic products and solutions with Hutchison Telecommunications' strong 5G network and top-notch information and communication technology in Hong Kong, both parties hope to jointly develop robotic solutions with mobile connectivity features to support the construction of a smart city in Hong Kong. At the same time, it reflects both parties' commitment to empowering intelligent transformation through communication technology.
If this cooperation is realized, it will fully utilize the core advantages of both parties, achieving synergy and combining their technological advantages and market resources. As Hutchison Telecommunications' business partner in Hong Kong, NOVAUTEK Intelligent Driving will be responsible for the business development and project operation of mobile robotic solutions in the fields of education, humanoid robots, and retail in Hong Kong. As of the date of this announcement, NOVAUTEK Intelligent Driving and Hutchison Telecommunications have not yet entered into any legally binding agreements regarding this cooperation, which is subject to further negotiations and the signing of a formal agreement
