At the midday close of the Hong Kong stock market, the Hang Seng Index fell by 1.61%, and the Hang Seng Tech Index dropped by 2.81%. The Hong Kong stock tech ETF decreased by 2.13%, while the Hang Seng Stock Connect ETF fell by 1.21%. In terms of sectors, the power and passenger airline sectors saw the largest gains; the communication equipment and life sciences tools sectors experienced the largest declines. In terms of individual stocks, LAOPU GOLD rose by 4.61%, and CHOW TAI FOOK increased by 4.39%; China General Nuclear Power Corporation fell by 10.91%, and Huiju Technology dropped by 11.08%; WuXi AppTec-B rose by 21.01%, and Zhongyu Energy increased by 10.94%
