Guangdong: Implementing the "Artificial Intelligence + Manufacturing" Benchmark Construction Action

The General Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province issued the "Action Plan for High-Quality Development of Manufacturing Industry Empowered by Artificial Intelligence." The plan proposes to create benchmarks for artificial intelligence applications. It implements the "Artificial Intelligence + Manufacturing" benchmark construction action, focusing on sub-sectors such as consumer electronics, high-end equipment, automobiles, petrochemicals, metal manufacturing, advanced materials, home furnishings, clothing and bags, biomedicine, food, and toys. It supports industrial enterprises in strengthening the penetration application of "industry models + specialized models + intelligent bodies," solicits, selects, and certifies provincial-level benchmarks for artificial intelligence integration applications, and provides funding support for eligible benchmark projects. It carries out a gradient cultivation action for smart factories, supporting industrial enterprises in promoting precise execution of single equipment, autonomous decision-making of manufacturing units, dynamic optimization of production lines, and digital twin of manufacturing workshops for intelligent upgrades, and builds a number of advanced, excellent, and leading smart factories to high standards
