
US Existing Home Sales Rise in September

Existing home sales in the United States increased 1.5% month-over-month to 4.06 million in September 2025, thew highest level in seven months, compared to 4 million in August and forecasts of 4.1 million.Sales increased in the Northeast, South and West, and fell in the Midwest. "As anticipated, falling mortgage rates are lifting home sales.Improving housing affordability is also contributing to the increase in sales", said NAR Chief Economist Dr. Lawrence Yun
