On October 28, Chuangneng New Energy Co., Ltd. started construction on its 70GWh lithium battery project in Xiangyang. The total investment for the project is 22 billion yuan, with a planned land area of 1,608 acres. It plans to build a production line for 50GWh of energy storage batteries and 20GWh of power batteries, covering a complete industrial chain from battery cells, PACK to energy storage systems. Once completed, the project will become a leading scale and technologically advanced hub for the new energy industry, effectively promoting the transformation and upgrading of Hubei's new energy industry. It is reported that this production base will be built with automation, digitalization, and intelligence as standards, widely integrating new generation intelligent technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, cloud services, VR/AR, and visual recognition, achieving self-perception, self-decision-making, self-execution, self-adjustment, and self-learning throughout the entire production process. The overall automation rate of the project will exceed 98%, and each production line will have flexible production capabilities compatible with multiple products
