Africa Stock Market Closing Report | South African Stock Market Closed Down 1.7%, Precious Metal Mining Stocks Led the Decline

On Tuesday (November 4), the South African FTSE/JSE Africa Leading 40 Index closed down 1.70%, at 100,000 points.

Constituent stock Northam Platinum fell 8.05%, Valterra Platinum dropped 6.84%, Impala Platinum Holdings (IMP.SJ) declined 5.43%, Sibanye Stillwater fell 5.19%, Harmony Gold (HAR) decreased 4.60%, Gold Fields (GFI) dropped 4.32%, and AngloGold Ashanti (ANG) fell 3.97%, making it the seventh largest decline.

Prosus rose 0.35%, ranking seventh, Naspers increased 0.85%, making it the third largest gain, Anheuser-Busch InBev NV (ANH) rose 1.45%, and British American Tobacco (BTI) increased 2.35%
