Jensen Huang: NVIDIA has requested TSMC to increase wafer supply and has not negotiated with Chinese companies for Blackwell chips
NVIDIA (NVDA.US) CEO Jensen Huang stated that in response to the growing global demand for artificial intelligence, he has requested Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM.US) to increase wafer supply to accelerate the release of key graphics processing unit (GPU) capacity. He also mentioned that three artificial intelligence memory suppliers, SK Hynix, Samsung Electronics, and Micron (MU.US), have significantly expanded their capacity, which will support the supply of high bandwidth memory (HBM) and advanced packaging.
Regarding the Chinese market, he indicated that there are currently no discussions with Chinese companies about the Blackwell new product, nor are there plans to ship to China. Whether to return to the Chinese market will depend on market and policy conditions. He emphasized that maintaining supply chain resilience under compliance conditions helps reduce the fragmentation caused by de-risking the ecosystem
