
Sales of high-rated bonds in the United States have surpassed the total supply for 2024, reaching the second highest level in history
As of 2025, the issuance of U.S. investment-grade corporate bonds has reached $1.499 trillion, marking the second-highest level ever recorded—only behind the $1.75 trillion level in 2020. Companies are taking advantage of lower borrowing costs to refinance debt, fund acquisitions, and invest in artificial intelligence (AI) projects.
This year has been a record-breaking year for global bond issuance, reaching $6 trillion for the first time.
