According to foreign media reports, American telecommunications company Verizon Communications (VZ.US) is discussing a company-wide layoff plan to be announced next week as part of the corporate restructuring plan promoted by the new CEO Dan Schulman.
Sources revealed that this round of layoffs does not involve union employees, including some retail store personnel represented by unions. The scale of the layoffs is still under discussion, but reports indicate it may affect approximately 10,000 to 15,000 employees.
