97 percent of people struggle to identify AI music, but it’s not as bad as it seems
A study by Deezer and Ipsos found that 97% of people struggle to distinguish between AI-generated and human-made music. However, the methodology, which required participants to correctly identify all three tracks to pass, may have skewed results. The experiment involved 9,000 participants listening to three tracks and guessing which were AI-generated. Missing even one track led to a fail classification, suggesting the difficulty in identifying AI music may not be as severe as it appears.
