According to the regulations for presale 15 days in advance, train tickets for the New Year's Day holiday in mainland China in 2026 officially went on sale today (18th). Data released by Meituan Travel shows that the number of reservations for travel during the New Year period has increased nearly fivefold year-on-year. The most popular train routes are mainly concentrated within the "4-hour high-speed rail circle." In terms of air travel, Guangzhou is the most popular destination for New Year's cross-year bookings nationwide. Among travelers, those born after 1995 are the absolute main force for New Year's outings.

In addition, according to data cited by CCTV from online travel booking platforms, the booking volume for outbound flights to popular regions during the New Year period has increased by more than 40%, with the most popular outbound travel destinations including Thailand, Singapore, and Spain. The increase in flight tickets to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi in Vietnam reached 3.2 times and 2.4 times, respectively
