CATHAY PAC AIR launches a comprehensive investigation into the use of incorrect taxiways at Manila Airport for flights

Cathay Pacific Airways (00293.HK) issued a statement regarding the report on flight CX918 yesterday (December 17), stating that the flight was operated by a Boeing 777 aircraft, traveling from Manila's Ninoy Aquino International Airport to Hong Kong. During taxiing, the aircraft used an incorrect taxiway. Local air traffic control personnel, for safety reasons, instructed two arriving aircraft to execute standard go-around procedures and land again, and approved CX918 to enter the runway for takeoff to Hong Kong.

During the incident, the safety of passengers and crew was not affected. Cathay Pacific Airways is conducting a comprehensive investigation into the incident and is fully cooperating with the relevant authorities
