UBTECH ROBOTICS founder Zhou Jian: The future of humanity lies in human-machine coexistence
The "Finance" Annual Conference 2026 was recently held in Beijing. UBTECH ROBOTICS (09880.HK) founder, chairman, and CEO Zhou Jian pointed out that there are still a large number of traditional industrial robotic arms and collaborative robotic arms that cannot cover "soft manufacturing" scenarios in the current manufacturing industry, especially in areas such as automotive assembly lines and parts factories, where simple, tedious, and repetitive labor still relies on a massive workforce.
Zhou Jian believes that humanoid robots have unique advantages in complex scenarios compared to wheeled robots. In narrow workstations, stair crossings, and other scenarios in factories of car manufacturers like Geely and ZEEKR, humanoid robots demonstrate stronger obstacle avoidance capabilities and terrain adaptability, and they are currently able to undertake core tasks such as intelligent handling, sorting, and quality inspection.
Zhou Jian emphasized that before the complete implementation of embodied intelligent world models, the adaptability of humanoid robots in structured industrial scenarios has been validated, making them an important force in alleviating workers' labor intensity and filling job vacancies.
He believes that the future of humanity lies in human-robot coexistence. Although humanoid robots may not be the only form, they will certainly be the broadest and largest track in the future, capable of accommodating the most diverse scenarios and even engaging in emotional communication with humans, and this scenario is gradually being realized.
Zhou Jian introduced that to promote the implementation of home scenarios, UBTECH ROBOTICS has reached a cooperation with Daojia, collaborating with its million household service practitioners to deeply explore the real needs in home scenarios, including cooking, washing vegetables, and cleaning, and continuously optimizing the robots' home service capabilities through the accumulation of scenario data
