
In the early session of the US stock market, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by about 100 points, and Tesla reached a new intraday high, approaching the $500 mark
This Monday, U.S. stocks rose across the board ahead of the Christmas holiday this Thursday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average opened up 76 points or nearly 0.2%, reporting 48,211 points, and the early gains expanded to about 110 points. The Nasdaq opened up 142 points or 0.6%, reporting 23,450 points; the S&P 500 index opened up 30 points or 0.5%, reporting 6,865 points.
Tesla (TSLA.US) rose over 3%, reaching a new intraday record high of $497.37.
AI stocks performed well, with NVIDIA (NVDA.US) and Oracle (ORCL.US) rising 1%, and Micron Tech (MU.US) rising 3%.
Oracle founder Larry Ellison provided a $40.4 billion guarantee for Paramount Global's (PSKY.US) acquisition offer for Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD.US), with Paramount rising 6% and Warner Bros. also up 3%
