According to information from the official website of China Post, on December 23, China Post Group Co., Ltd. held a party group meeting and announced the decisions on the appointment and removal of Lu Wei and Liu Jianjun by the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China:

Lu Wei is appointed as the Deputy General Manager and a member of the Party Group of China Post Group Co., Ltd., and Liu Jianjun is removed from the positions of Deputy General Manager and member of the Party Group of China Post Group Co., Ltd. The relevant appointments and removals will be handled in accordance with relevant legal provisions.

Liu Jianjun previously served as the Deputy General Manager and member of the Party Group of the Postal Group while concurrently holding the position of President of PSBC. He has turned 60 this year. The future position of President of PSBC after his departure from the Postal Group is highly anticipated in the industry.

Data shows that Lu Wei was born in October 1971 and has just turned 54 years old. He holds CPA qualifications in China, Hong Kong, and Australia, and has a master's degree in professional accounting from Deakin University in Australia, possessing a rich financial professional background.

According to the information, Lu Wei worked at Beijing Youth Industrial Group Co., Ltd. from July 1994 to January 1997. After that, he worked for a long time at CITIC Bank.

Historically, he served at the head office of CITIC Bank (now Beijing Branch) from January 1997 to January 2017, holding positions such as member of the Party Committee of the head office's business department, assistant general manager, deputy general manager, deputy general manager of the planning and finance department (now the finance and accounting department), general manager, and general manager of the asset-liability department of the head office.

After January 2017, Lu Wei entered the management of the bank, serving successively as the secretary of the board of directors, secretary of the board of directors (business director level), business director, member of the Party Committee, and vice president of CITIC Bank. During this period, he also served as the deputy leader of the Hong Kong branch preparation team, general manager of the asset-liability department of the head office, deputy leader and director of the Alkin Bank preparation team, and secretary of the Party Committee and president of the Shenzhen branch, until he was transferred to CITIC Trust in October 2022.

From February 2025, Lu Wei was appointed as the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of CITIC Bank, and after Liu Cheng resigned from the positions of president and others at CITIC Bank, he was appointed as the president of the bank.

In April 2025, CITIC Bank received approval from regulatory authorities, confirming Lu Wei's qualifications for the position of president of CITIC Bank. Lu Wei officially took office as the president of the bank on April 21, 2025.

He has served as the deputy president of the Weifang branch of China Construction Bank in Shandong Province, the deputy president of the Jinan branch, the president of the Dezhou branch, the deputy president of the Jinan branch of China Merchants Bank, the general manager of the Retail Banking Department at the headquarters of China Merchants Bank, the general manager of the Retail Comprehensive Management Department, the executive vice president of the Retail Financial Headquarters, and the chairman of the Credit Card Center. He has also held positions as an executive director, vice president, and board secretary of China Merchants Bank.

In May 2021, Liu Jianjun was appointed as the deputy general manager and a member of the Party Leadership Group of China Post Group Co., Ltd., as well as the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Postal Savings Bank. In August of the same year, his qualifications for the positions of executive director and president of Postal Savings Bank were approved. From April 2022 to January 2025, Liu Jianjun will also serve as the acting chairman of Postal Savings Bank.
