
Analyst: Once the theme of de-dollarization resurfaces, the US dollar may continue to weaken in 2026
Goldman Sachs analysts including Jan Hatziu wrote after the data was released: "We note that challenges in seasonal adjustments may lead to higher-than-usual volatility in unemployment claims data during the holiday period." Bloomberg Industry Research strategist Zhang Chunyue wrote in a report: "Once the theme of de-dollarization resurfaces, the dollar may continue to weaken in 2026, triggering a trend similar to that seen in the second quarter of this year."
