
Alphabet surged 65% for the year, dominating the "Magnificent Seven," while NVIDIA settled for second place
The last trading day of 2025 closed lower, but technology stocks performed strongly throughout the year. Among the "Magnificent Seven," Google's parent company Alphabet (GOOG.US) saw the largest increase, rising nearly 65%, marking the biggest annual gain since the 2009 financial crisis. Following closely is NVIDIA (NVDA.US) with a 38.9% increase.
As for the performance of other giants, Microsoft (MSFT.US), Meta Platforms (META.US), and Tesla (TSLA.US) rose by 14.7%, 12.7%, and 11.3% respectively, while Apple (AAPL.US) and Amazon (AMZN.US) had increases of only 8.6% and 5.2%
