"Insider" exposed! CIA informant closely related to Maduro, leaking information to the U.S. military

In the early hours of January 3 local time, explosions were suddenly heard in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, and air raid alarms sounded. U.S. President Trump subsequently announced that the U.S. military successfully struck Venezuela, capturing President Maduro and his wife and taking them out of Venezuela.

More details about the U.S. military's capture of Maduro have been disclosed. According to China News Service citing Reuters, in August 2025, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) sent a task force into Venezuela to specifically track Maduro's whereabouts.

In coordination with this, there was an informant closely related to Maduro, who not only monitored Maduro's every move daily but also tipped off the U.S. military during the operation, informing them of the exact location of the Maduro couple.

Additionally, according to CCTV News, a source familiar with CIA operations revealed that since August 2025, the CIA had deployed a team of covert operatives in Venezuela. This team collected information about President Maduro's "daily routines" and movements.

Moreover, several individuals who received briefings on the U.S. operation disclosed that in the days leading up to Maduro's capture by U.S. special operations forces, a CIA source within the Venezuelan government continuously reported Maduro's whereabouts to the U.S. side.

These individuals stated that it was the CIA that provided the key intelligence that led to Maduro's capture. The agency relied not only on informants from within Venezuela but also utilized a surveillance system composed of multiple stealth drones to conduct nearly uninterrupted aerial monitoring of Venezuela, in order to grasp Maduro's specific location and movement trajectory.

It is reported that in the fall of 2025, Trump authorized the CIA to take more aggressive actions and approved plans and preparations for a series of operations against Venezuela in November.

A person familiar with the capture operation of Maduro stated that this action was the result of deep cooperation between the CIA and the U.S. military, having undergone "months of meticulous planning."

Latest reports indicate that the plane carrying Maduro and his wife, Flores, has arrived at Stewart Air National Guard Base in New York.

According to reports, on January 3 local time, Maduro disembarked from the plane at an airport north of Manhattan, New York. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt and ankle shackles, surrounded by federal agents as he descended the stairs into the hangar.

Sources pointed out that after arriving in the U.S., Maduro would first be transported by helicopter to a location in New York City to complete registration procedures, and then transferred to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. Officials expect him to appear in court by the evening of January 5 at the latest.

Additionally, according to Xinhua News Agency, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Milley disclosed on January 3 the entire process of the U.S. military capturing President Maduro and his wife and taking them out of Venezuela, stating that President Trump issued the raid order at 10:46 PM Eastern Time on January 2, involving more than 150 aircraft, and the Maduro couple was taken to a U.S. military ship at 3:29 AM Eastern Time on January 3 Kane stated at a press conference held at Mar-a-Lago in Florida that the operation, codenamed "Absolute Resolve," was covert and precise. After months of "efforts" by the intelligence team, the U.S. side pinpointed Maduro's whereabouts and gathered information on how he moves, his residence, travel routes, dietary habits, clothing preferences, and the pets he keeps. "We are observing, we are waiting, we are preparing, we remain patient and professional."

Kane stated that as the raid forces approached the Venezuelan coast, the U.S. military simultaneously activated multi-layered operational support, including space communications, network communications, and other interdepartmental coordination mechanisms. As they neared Caracas, the U.S. military launched strikes to dismantle Venezuela's air defense systems to ensure the helicopters could safely enter the target area. When the raid forces crossed the last high ground cover point of the Venezuelan side, they confirmed that "the element of surprise was fully maintained." At 1:01 AM Eastern Time on the 3rd (2:01 AM local time in Caracas), the raid forces arrived at Maduro's residence, "advancing rapidly, precisely, and orderly towards the target, while isolating the area to ensure the safety of ground troops and capturing the indicted individuals."

Kane reported that as the raid forces entered the target area, the helicopters came under fire, "and they retaliated with overwhelming firepower. One of our aircraft was hit but remained operational." Kane claimed that the Maduro couple surrendered, were taken under control by the raid forces, and evacuated by helicopter under the cover of U.S. fighter jets and drones. During the evacuation, U.S. forces exchanged fire with the Venezuelan side multiple times. Ultimately, the helicopter returned to the offshore departure base at 3:29 AM Eastern Time on the 3rd.
