Boeing CEO informs employees: More effort is needed to turn the situation around

Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg informed employees that the company still faces daunting tasks as it continues to advance its recovery process. Ortberg acknowledged the progress made since last year. Last year, the manufacturer was in a difficult phase of restarting its commercial aircraft factories and auctioning off assets. The challenges Boeing currently faces include: aircraft certification, rebuilding relationships with the Pentagon, and the potential new round of labor negotiations as the contracts representing engineers and technicians expire.
