It is reported that DeepSeek will release a new generation flagship AI model in the coming weeks. Sunny Optical (02382.HK) saw its mobile lens shipments drop nearly 9% year-on-year last month, with its stock price opening up 0.4% at HKD 64.95.
BYD (01211.HK) opened up 1.7% at HKD 96.2. Geely (00175.HK) and Xiaomi (01810.HK) opened down 0.2%, while Li Auto (02015.HK), Nio (09866.HK), and XPeng (09868.HK) opened down 0.6% to 0.8%.
Spot gold has risen to a historical high, with Zijin (02899.HK), Shandong Gold (01787.HK), and Zhaojin (01818.HK) opening up 2.6% to 2.8%. In the financial sector, HSBC (00005.HK) opened down 0.3% at HKD 124.4, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (00388.HK) opened up 0.2%, and AIA (01299.HK) opened down 0.1%
