Amazon closed down 2.4% preliminarily, Microsoft down 2.4%, NVIDIA down 1.5%, Cisco down 1.4%, leading the decline among Dow components, while Chevron, Johnson & Johnson, and Merck rose over 2%.
The semiconductor index fell 0.6%, and the banking index fell 0.7%
