U.S. President Trump confirmed on Wednesday that the U.S. government will approve NVIDIA (NVDA.US) to export its AI chip H200 to China, but the government will charge a 25% sales fee as an additional charge.
Trump stated that unlike NVIDIA's previous chip H20 aimed at the Chinese market, the H200 is a derivative version of the company's Hopper architecture, which is also sold in the U.S. and other markets
