- Google has upgraded its popular AI image generation tool, Nano Banana, six months after its initial release, now offering faster and higher quality image production.  
- The new version, Nano Banana 2, provides higher resolution images, enhanced infographic capabilities, and improved understanding of complex commands, according to a blog post from Google DeepMind.  
- This update fully replaces the original Nano Banana across multiple models in Gemini, while Nano Banana Pro remains available for high-fidelity tasks requiring the highest factual accuracy.
