The National Immigration Administration predicts that the average daily number of inbound and outbound travelers at national ports during the holiday period will exceed 2.3 million, an increase of 11.1% compared to the same period last year.
Authorities stated that the Qingming Festival is a traditional holiday for returning home to pay respects to ancestors and is also a peak season for spring outings. This year, many regions have introduced spring break policies for primary and secondary schools, combined with a five-day holiday in Hong Kong and Macau, leading to an expected peak in inbound and outbound travel during the Qingming holiday
