
"Economics" US MBA mortgage applications fell 10.4% last week
According to the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) survey data, mortgage applications in the United States for the week ending March 27 of this year decreased by 10.4% compared to the previous week.
Among them, refinancing applications plummeted by 17%. In contrast, the decline in home purchase loan applications was relatively smaller, at 3%.
The 30-year mortgage rate is currently 6.57%, reaching its highest level since August of last year, an increase of half a percentage point from a month ago
