The NASDAQ Golden Dragon China Index initially closed up 0.8%. Among popular Chinese stocks, NetEase initially rose 7.8%, PDD gained 4.5%, New Oriental EDU & Tech, NIO Inc, YUM CHINA, and Li Auto rose by as much as 4.2%, Alibaba edged up 0.1%, while Advanced Semiconductor Engineering fell 3.7%.
