Palantir announced an agreement with NVIDIA to run its AI and Nemotron open-source models in sovereign environments, serving U.S. government agencies; at the same time, it is partnering with Surf Air Mobility to accelerate the commercialization of solutions such as OperatorOS, OwnerOS, and SurfOS, aiming to enhance efficiency in the aviation industry through the AIP and Foundry platforms. As a result of this positive news, Palantir's pre-market stock price rose by 2.2%

According to Zhitong Finance APP, Palantir (PLTR.US) announced on Monday that it is collaborating with Surf Air Mobility (SRFM.US) to accelerate the commercial expansion of its OperatorOS, OwnerOS, and SurfOS enterprise solutions.

Additionally, Palantir announced an agreement with NVIDIA (NVDA.US) to run NVIDIA AI and the Nemotron open-source AI model in sovereign environments, focusing on serving U.S. government agencies and critical infrastructure.

Palantir's stock price rose by 2.2% in pre-market trading.

The two companies stated in a release that SurfOS is powered by Palantir's Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP) and Foundry, aimed at bringing modern software to the private aviation and air traffic industry. They added that it will provide the necessary tools for "aircraft operators, brokers, owners, and manufacturers to manage operations, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs."

Furthermore, OperatorOS, OwnerOS, and SurfOS will also see commercial expansion due to dedicated resources being allocated to solutions focused on market entry support.

Ted Mablry, Palantir's Global Business Head, stated, "Private aviation and air traffic represent a vast and growing market, but historically have relied on fragmented systems and manual processes." He added, "With Foundry and AIP supporting SurfOS, we see a clear opportunity to build and define the core operating system for the future of aviation and air traffic. Our actions to expand our commitment reflect our strong belief in Surf Air Mobility and future opportunities."

Combining the Nemotron Model

The agreement integrates NVIDIA's Nemotron open-source model with Palantir's critical infrastructure products (such as AIP, Ontology, Foundry, and Apollo).

The two companies stated that this collaboration allows customers to accomplish tasks such as "clear data authorization, secure boundary execution, architecture-enhanced customer-specific isolation, data portability, right to erasure, and comprehensive auditability."

Palantir co-founder and CEO Alex Karp explained, "Combining Palantir's infrastructure with NVIDIA's AI and the Nemotron model will enable the U.S. government to unleash the full power of large language models (LLMs) while eliminating potential security risks and rational concerns about proprietary insights migrating to closed-source model weights." He added, "Moreover, many of our U.S. customers are already using these models, including several supporting U.S. critical infrastructure (both private and public entities)—which will facilitate their aggressive scale expansion." NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang stated, "Open-source AI is the cornerstone of national security, public safety, and America's technological leadership." "The intelligent engine powered by Nemotron at Palantir demonstrates how open-source models reinforce America's leadership in the AI field—providing U.S. government agencies with a secure, customizable, and fully controllable foundation to build mission-critical AI systems that support national security."
