ETF Movement | Southern Double Long NVIDIA fell nearly 3%, reported that the Kyber NVL144 rack may cause delays, and the NVL72x2 plan has also not been implemented
Southern Double Long NVIDIA fell nearly 3%, as of the time of writing, down 2.94%, reported at HKD 140.25, with a trading volume of HKD 583,400. In terms of news, on July 6, the semiconductor industry research organization SemiAnalysis published a series of articles on social media, indicating that NVIDIA's Kyber NVL144 rack architecture may face delays. SemiAnalysis stated that in addition to the delay of Kyber NVL144, its two alternative solutions, NVL72x2 back-to-back architecture, have also been canceled. However, due to the "strong opposition from cloud service providers and hyperscale data center operators to its peculiar design and heavy operational burden," the NVL72x2 solution also failed to materialize. It is understood that in NVIDIA's original concept, the PCB mid-board was intended to achieve a 90° vertical interconnection between the computing tray and the switching tray, connecting the computing nodes and switching nodes in the cabinet in an orthogonal manner. However, the manufacturing difficulty of the PCB mid-board is extremely high; from the initial design proposal, it adopts a 78-layer ultra-high multilayer design and uses M9 level copper-clad laminates and quartz cloth, significantly increasing the specifications for CCL usage and the difficulty of PCB processing
