AI infrastructure service provider Core Scientific has reached a cooperation agreement with AMD, initially agreeing for AMD to lease 500 megawatts of computing power from its data center and deploy AMD chips, with a potential future scale of up to 2.5 gigawatts. AMD will receive stock warrants for Core Scientific. As a result of this news, Core Scientific's pre-market stock price surged by about 5%, while AMD's pre-market stock price fell by about 5%

AI infrastructure service provider Core Scientific announced a partnership agreement with chip manufacturer AMD, leading to a pre-market stock price surge of approximately 5%.

The initial phase of the agreement stipulates that AMD will lease 500 megawatts of data center computing power resources from Core Scientific by 2027, with AMD chips deployed within the data centers for use by AMD's end customers. The total scale of this cooperation agreement can be expanded to a maximum of 2.5 gigawatts of computing power in the long term.

AMD will receive a number of Core Scientific stock warrants, the quantity of which has not been disclosed, exercisable at market price. As a result of this news, AMD's own pre-market stock price fell by approximately 5%
