US 2/10-Year Treasury Yields Drop Over 5 Basis Points, Following Oil Price Decline

At the close of New York trading on Tuesday (July 28, the opening day of the Federal Reserve's FOMC monetary policy meeting), the US 10-Year Treasury Yield fell 5.06 basis points to 4.5981%. It opened lower and continued its decline, with an accelerated drop occurring after 23:00 Beijing time, refreshing the daily low at 4.5860%.

The two-year US Treasury yield fell 5.17 basis points to 4.2706%, also hitting a fresh daily low of 4.2541% at 00:15; the 30-year US Treasury yield dropped 4.58 basis points to 5.0907%.

The 2/10-year US Treasury yield spread rose by 0.120 basis points to +32.549 basis points.

The 10-year Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS) yield fell 4.18 basis points to 2.4015%; the two-year TIPS yield dropped 1.88 basis points to 2.1480%; and the 30-year TIPS yield declined 4.76 basis points to 2.9265%.
