
Report: DeepSeek Resumes Fundraising with Pre-Money Valuation of RMB 500 Billion
According to Caijing, large language model company DeepSeek has resumed its second round of financing, planning to raise RMB 50 billion with a pre-money valuation of approximately RMB 500 billion. The deal is expected to be signed in late August. Its first round of financing was completed in June, raising the same amount of RMB 50 billion at a valuation exceeding RMB 350 billion
Multiple sources familiar with the transaction revealed that large language model company DeepSeek has resumed its second round of financing. This round plans to raise RMB 50 billion, with a pre-money valuation of approximately RMB 500 billion, and aims to complete signing in late August. DeepSeek launched its first round of financing in April this year and closed the deal in June. That round raised RMB 50 billion at a valuation exceeding RMB 350 billion, making it the company with the largest first-round financing in the history of China's AI large models. Several investors mentioned that DeepSeek's second round of financing had begun by at least mid-July but was suddenly suspended in late July.
