Tesla has topped the sales chart for imported passenger cars in South Korea for six consecutive months

According to data from the Korea Automobile Importers and Dealers Association, Tesla topped the list of imported passenger cars in South Korea in July with sales of 10,237 units, maintaining the number one position for the sixth consecutive month. BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and BYD ranked second to fourth. The Korea Automobile Importers and Distributors Association (KAIDA) announced on Wednesday that American electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla has become the best-selling imported passenger car brand in South Korea for the sixth consecutive month in July. According to the association, 30,976 new imported passenger cars were registered last month, an increase of 14.3% year-on-year.

Tesla led the market with sales of 10,237 vehicles, maintaining the top position since February of this year.

BMW ranked second with 6,533 vehicles, followed closely by Mercedes-Benz with 3,959 vehicles, and BYD in fourth place with 2,846 vehicles.

The Tesla Model Y became the best-selling imported model last month, with sales reaching 8,705 vehicles.
