The National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration have issued the "15th Five-Year Plan for Oil and Natural Gas Development," aiming to establish a modern oil and gas industry system by 2030. By then, domestic oil and gas supply is projected to reach 440 million tonnes of oil equivalent, with 20,000 km of new long-distance pipelines added, bringing the total length to 220,000 km. Natural gas reserves will account for over 13% of consumption, LNG receiving and unloading capacity will reach 200 million tonnes per year, and annual CO2 injection for CCUS will reach 10 million tonnes

The National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration have issued the "15th Five-Year Plan for Oil and Natural Gas Development." The plan states that by 2030, China will gradually build a modern oil and gas industry system characterized by "continuously enhanced self-sufficiency capabilities, efficient integration of pipeline network transmission and distribution, ample and flexible reserve regulation, green and low-carbon production methods, safe, stable, and efficient operations, high-end and high-quality processing and utilization, independent breakthroughs in scientific and technological levels, and flexible and diversified international cooperation." By 2030, domestic oil and gas supply is expected to reach 440 million tonnes of oil equivalent, with 20,000 km of new long-distance oil and gas pipelines added, bringing the national total to 220,000 km. Natural gas reserve capacity will continue to grow, accounting for more than 13% of national consumption. LNG receiving terminal unloading capacity will reach 200 million tonnes per year, onshore pipeline import capacity for natural gas will be 114 billion cubic meters per year, and annual CO2 injection for Carbon Capture and Mothballing/Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Mothballing (CCS/CCUS) will reach 10 million tonnes.
