Typhoon "Sura" is approaching. If the Hong Kong stock market is closed all day on Friday, the quarterly adjustment of the Hang Seng Index will be postponed until after the market closes next Monday.

According to Dolphin Research, due to the approaching Typhoon Sula, the Hang Seng Index Company announced on August 31 that if the Hong Kong stock market is closed for the whole day on September 1 (Friday) due to severe weather conditions (such as the hoisting of typhoon signal number 8 or above), the index adjustment scheduled for September will be postponed to September 4 (next Monday) after the market closes, and the index adjustment results will take effect on September 5 (next Tuesday). If the market opens for part of the day on September 1, the Hang Seng Index Company will proceed with the index adjustment as scheduled.
