Understanding the China-US Announcement: How Much Tariff Remains?
Based on both sides' announcements:The US will have 30% remaining, including the 20% fentanyl tariff and a 10% reciprocal tariff (which appears to be Trump's bottom line). The remaining 24% reciprocal tariff is suspended for 90 days, and all retaliatory tariffs are cancelled.
China will have 10% remaining.
This clearly exceeds market expectations and aligns with the statements "the differences between the two sides are smaller than expected" and "sincerity."
