Google has announced plans to invest USD 9 billion in Virginia by the end of 2026, focusing on building cloud computing and generative AI infrastructure. This includes developing a new data center in Chesterfield County, south of Richmond.
The investment will also expand its existing data center facilities in Loudoun County and Prince William County. Additionally, Google will launch new education and workforce development programs for Virginia residents, supporting tech talent growth in the region.
