$NVIDIA(NVDA.US) +3.2% pre-mkt to $208 and approaching $5 trillion in market cap on speculation Trump will agree to allow NVDA to resume export of AI chips to China as part of a broader trade deal between the U.S. and China on Thursday. In pre-meeting remarks yesterday Trump said he’ll discuss allowing Nvidia to export to China a downgraded version of its Blackwell AI processor. That would mark a major win for the world’s largest company by market value, a significant concession to Beijing, and an upheaval of Washington’s long campaign to curtail China’s AI prowess. NVDA currently exports no AI chips to China.
