
South Korea must invest ₩1,400 trillion won (US$950 billion) to build 20 gigawatt-scale AI data centers in order to attract big foreign investment in the global AI race, SK Group Chairman Tae-won Chey said, media report, adding AI investments require one or two more zeroes compared to automotive or semiconductor investments. He said government policy support is necessary to line up energy and other resources for the AI race.
