TSMC Arizona will begin 3nm chip production at plant 2 a year ahead of schedule in late 2026 or early 2027 due to heavy AI-related demand, while plant 3 will see 2nm (N2) and 1.6nm (A16) production in 2028, also a year early, media report. TSMC has broken ground on plant 3 already.
