Kia has proposed a vision for its PBV (Purpose Built Vehicle) business, aiming to become a pioneer in the PBV field through diversified solutions. The company has set a goal to sell 250,000 PBVs by 2030, including the mid-sized PV5 (150,000 units) and the large-sized PV7 models (100,000 units).
Kia will leverage flexible production systems and customer-customized PBV solutions to achieve this goal, collaborating with Hyundai Motor Group's future businesses, including autonomous driving, robotics, and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM).
Based on this PBV platform, many attempts and innovations can be made, which serves as a strong driver for transitioning from manufacturing to software and services. Kia remains steadfast in this regard, and overall, the changes and adjustments are quite proactive.
