Likes ReceivedI was thinking, if we define democracy as 'rule by the majority,' then the United States hasn't been a democratic country for a long time. In 2016, when Trump came to power, more people actually voted for Hillary. The majority chose Hillary.
So the United States should be a republic; at the same time, whether it is a democratic country is debatable. It's in a state that swings between democracy and aristocracy—a democratic republic or an aristocratic republic.
