BYD's amphibious vehicle patent announced

According to US Stock Research, Tianyancha intellectual property information shows that on July 26, BYD (002594) announced its patent for 'Amphibious Vehicle and Its Control Method'.
The abstract and description reveal that the amphibious vehicle includes a vehicle body and paddle wheels. The paddle wheels are rotatably mounted around an axis parallel to the vertical direction relative to the vehicle body, allowing the steering angle of the paddle wheels to be adjusted. This application integrates paddle wheel steering with a propeller, enabling the paddle wheels to maintain directional control while utilizing the reverse thrust of the propeller to provide driving force. This innovation enhances the safety and controllability of water-crossing vehicles, allowing stable straight-line movement in waters with varying flow directions and speeds. Additionally, this design does not simply combine vehicle and boat structures, eliminating the need for additional propellers or power mechanisms. A single paddle wheel can operate both on land and in water, filling a market gap and reducing costs.
