
Back in high school, I talked about ideals with a few girls. We sat in a pavilion late at night discussing our dreams and what we wanted to do in the future. Xin said she was someone with ideals—she wanted to constantly become a better version of herself, to be outstanding. She wanted to experience many things, to live a rich and fulfilling life, a very rich one.
