Since its launch in 2021, the project has continuously conducted health education and disease screening activities for high-risk diabetes groups, enhancing awareness of diabetes and blood sugar management. It aims to promote diabetes health knowledge dissemination, improve public health literacy, and enable early intervention to delay or control complications. By the end of 2023, the project had screened nearly one million high-risk individuals, significantly improving primary healthcare providers' capabilities and playing a crucial role in early diabetes detection and management.

In 2024, the project will focus on Tianjin, Shandong, Chongqing, Guizhou, Gansu, and other provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities), aiming to further enhance primary healthcare providers' diabetes screening and prevention capabilities, raise public awareness, and benefit more grassroots doctors and communities.
