OptionsYesterday's straddle on Google (GOOG) didn't perform well in pre-market, only up 5-6 points. Didn't follow the plan to clear at open and stupidly bought AMD instead. Made a mistake and admitted it - cleared all positions.
Bought lottery tickets in HK market chasing Autostreets (02443), still no time to watch the market during daytime. China Merchants Securities (06099) completely reversed my day trading and became a heavy position.
The good news is I cleared Super Micro (SMCI) early - it's crashing today. Sometimes I admire those who clear positions and go short instead. I thought about it but didn't act, like with Trump.
In volatile markets, defense comes first. Look for offensive opportunities with small positions. Blind offense only leads to bigger drawdowns. From doubling to withdrawing to principal line - this period has been really grinding.
