Since Longbridge only allows trading BTC and ETH ETFs with SG accounts, I allocated some funds specifically for "hoarding coins." Due to continuous deposits and purchases, and the recent volatile coin prices, this account has been fluctuating—sometimes with floating profits that then drop back. Since I only buy and don't sell, as of today, there are no substantial profits yet, but the position has gradually been fully built.
Sometimes, investing feels both simple and complex. The simplicity lies in the fact that if you're a long-term investor rather than a short-term trader, your daily actions are just observing, waiting, buying, and repeating until your position is fully built, hoping it eventually bears fruit. The complexity comes from the excruciating process, filled with news about fundamentals, policies, capital flows—some true, some just "noise." With the prevalence of social media and apps, opinions and "show-offs" from influencers, big Vs, and retail investors are everywhere. Add market uncertainty and your floating P&L, and your mindset and perception are constantly shifting.
