
In 2025, the assisted driving industry shifted its focus to safety concerns, and the year-end Zhuzhou Hello Robotaxi accident brought the controversy over the large-scale deployment of L4 Robotaxi safety into the spotlight. Hello entered the Robotaxi market just six months ago and deployed nearly 100 vehicles, with an expansion pace far exceeding the technological accumulation speed of traditional players.
The accident also raised two core questions: whether there is a correlation between the aggressive expansion of new players and the increase in accidents, and whether the system for defining responsibilities and safety redundancy for L4 autonomous driving is ready. The industry needs to rebalance technological maturity and commercialization speed.
